The Friary pub in Derby has had a £300,000 revamp.

The popular student spot has got new pool tables, new high-definition TVs and a revamped decor ahead of its re-opening on Wednesday.

There are also new vegan options on the menu including jackfruit burgers and chilli con carne.

Superheroes, bright colours and plenty of wood feature in the new look at the Friar Gate pub.
